Camera Interface Details
Specifics about the interface modes
Mode 1: Continuous
Frame rate:
Matrox Radient eCL receives the continuous video from the camera
at 179.7 frames per second.
Exposure time:
Exposure time is set using the programmable exposure setting in
the Camera Configuration utility. Refer to the camera manual for more
information.
Camera settings:
Set the camera controls using the Flare utility as follows:
‐ For 8tap – 8bit format: General Tab\Camera Link Output\Format\Full
‐ For 10tap – 8bit format: General Tab\Camera Link Output\Format\Full‐80 (8‐bit)
‐ Exposure Tab\Mode\Free‐Run, Programmable Exposure
Mode 2: Pseudo‐continuous
Frame rate:
The frame rate is determined by the frequency of the TIMER1 OUT
(CC1) signal.
Exposure time
: The exposure time is determined by the pulse duration (high
level) of the TIMER1 OUT (CC1) signal, which can be modified in the DCF using
Matrox Intellicam or with the MIL MdigControl() function. Consult the respective
manual for more information.
Camera control settings:
Set the camera controls using the Flare utility as follows:
‐ For 8tap – 8bit format: General Tab\Camera Link Output\Format\Full
‐ For 10tap – 8bit format: General Tab\Camera Link Output\Format\Full‐80 (8‐bit)
‐ Exposure Tab\Mode\Edge‐Triggered, Level‐Controlled Exposure
‐ Exposure Tab\Trigger 1\CC1 + High (Polarity)
Mode 3: Asynchronous Reset
Frame rate
: The frame rate is determined by the frequency of the external trigger
signal.
Exposure time:
Refer to Mode 2: Pseudo‐continuous.
Camera settings:
Refer to Mode 2: Pseudo‐continuous.
